Saku Mõdu
Mõdu on kõikide kääritatud jookide kuningas, mille valmistamise traditsioonid pärinevad tsivilisatsioonide algusaegadest. Legendid räägivad, et Olümpose valitsejate surematuse pant ambroosia ei olnud miski muu kui mõdu. Skandinaavia rahvaste jaoks peitus iidses mõdus tarkuse jõud.
Mõdu suurejooneline populaarsus vältas läbi keskaja, mil meejook voolas ojadena kuningakodades, aadlipaleedes ning kloostrites. Samal ajal, kui lihtrahvas kostitas end odavama veini ja õllega, sai mõdust pidujook, mis saatis nii rahvusvahelisi lepinguid kui perekondlikke suursündmusi.
Saku Õlletehas on Mõdu on tootnud ka eelmise sajandi 20-ndatel ja 30-ndatel aastatel. Uue Mõdu tootmisel on kasutatud ajalooliselt säilinud andmeid ja püütud maailma erinevate mõduretseptide hulgast leida see autentne Eesti mõdu, mille tähtsaimaks komponendiks on mesi.

Mead is the king of all fermented beverages, the traditions of which date back to the beginnings of civilizations. Legend has it that the ragweed pledge of the immortality of the Olympian rulers was nothing but mead. For the Scandinavian peoples, there was an ancient power of wisdom.
The spectacular popularity of mead dates back to the Middle Ages, when honey flowed as streams in royal palaces, noble palaces and monasteries. At the same time as the common people tasted themselves with cheaper wine and beer, a festive drink became popular, which accompanied both international agreements and major family events.
Saku Õlletehas on Mõdu has also produced in the 1920s and 1930s. In the production of New Mead, historically preserved data have been used and an attempt has been made to find this authentic Estonian mead, the most important component of which is honey, among the various mead recipes in the world.
